The first 200 runners to register online will receive a free Gay 5K t-shirt and an early registration rate of $25. Registration after June 30th is $35 and does not guarantee a t-shirt. Runners may form teams by registering at least three participants under the same team name. Prizes will be awarded to the top finisher in each age group for men and women. Runners are encouraged to “show your color” by wearing costumes or pride colors.

This year the race will be followed by a Doggie FunDay and family-style picnic. Local adoption agencies will have animals for adoption and the public is encouraged to bring well-behaved dogs to participate in a free Dog Costume Parade. The parade will begin at 11am, with a prize going to the top three dog costumes; participants should arrive by 10:30 to register their pooches. Participants are also encouraged to bring a potluck dish for a family-style lunch to begin at noon, with hot dogs (veggie and meat), chips, and drinks provided by Blue Ridge Pride for a donation to the Pride Center of the Blue Ridge. There will also be kids’ games, shirts and tie dye, and ice cream by The Hop.

Help our team show PRIDE POWER as we raise money for
This program works by matching local kids up with adult mentors and we couldn't be happier about trying to help them out. We have some folks involved with this great organization and know that the chances are good that there are LGBTQ kids involved as well. Help us show our community at large why our LGBTQ community is so awesome!
